A probation confirmation letter tells an employee in writing that they have completed probation and that their employment continues. This tool produces it on your letterhead from the joining date and the probation end date, with the date the confirmation takes effect and a revised basic salary if you enter them.
What the letter states
The letter confirms that the employee completed probation in the stated position, from the joining date to the probation end date, and that the employment continues on the terms agreed in the employment contract. Citing Article 9(2), it states that the probation period counts towards the period of service.
If you enter a revised basic salary and an effective date, it adds one sentence: from that date, the monthly basic salary will be the amount you entered. It makes no other promise.
The six-month limit
Article 9(1) allows a probation period “not exceeding (6) six months from the date of commencement of work”, and Article 9(2) does not allow placing a worker on probation more than once with the same employer. The tool counts calendar months: it accepts a probation end date up to the day before the same date six months on (joining 1 March, 31 August at the latest) and refuses a later one.

Does probation count towards the period of service?
Yes. Under Article 9(2), if the worker passes probation and continues to work, the contract becomes valid on the agreed terms, and “this period shall be counted within the term of service”.
How long can probation last in the UAE?
Article 9(1) caps it at six months from the start of work, and Article 9(2) does not allow a second probation with the same employer. The tool refuses a probation end date more than six calendar months after joining.
