UAE Salary Check

Check your own salary: whether it is late under the WPS payday rule, whether the amount matches your contract after unpaid days and lawful deductions, and where to see your official salary. For employees in the UAE mainland private sector.

Payslip.ae cannot look up your salary, contract or WPS record. These checks use only the figures you type, and they stay in your browser.

Has it arrived?

D Where to See Your Official Salary

Your salary is set by your contract and paid through WPS. These are the places to see it:

  1. Your employment contract

The contract is made in two copies, and one is handed to you (Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, Article 8(1)). It states your salary: the basic salary, which is the wage without allowances (Article 1), and the allowances. The contract registered with MOHRE is the job offer that you and the employer signed. [Official source][Official source]

  2. Your signed job offer

MOHRE’s job offer forms carry a serial number (barcode), and MOHRE says their validity can be checked through its call centre on 600590000, its website or its app. Keep a copy: the terms of your contract must match the job offer you signed. [Official source][Official source]

  3. The account your salary is paid into

Under WPS, salaries are transferred through banks, exchange houses or financial institutions authorised by the Central Bank of the UAE. The statement or app of the one that pays you shows the date and the amount of each transfer. [Official source]

  4. Your payslip

The Labour Law does not require a document called a payslip. The employer must prove wage payment when MOHRE asks (Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022, Article 16(1)(c)). Ask your employer in writing for the month’s breakdown: basic salary, allowances and deductions. [Official source]

  5. MOHRE

For questions, MOHRE’s call centre is 600590000, also on WhatsApp. The Labour Claims and Advisory Center is 80084. [Official source]

A salary check for employees in the UAE mainland private sector. Choose the month and say whether the salary has arrived to see whether it is late under Ministerial Resolution No. 340 of 2026, and by how many days. Enter your contract wage, what arrived, any unpaid days and each deduction to see the gap and whether the law allows each deduction (Article 25 of Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021). Everything runs in your browser. Payslip.ae cannot look up anyone’s salary.

When Is a Salary Late in the UAE?

Since 1 June 2026, wages for each Gregorian month are due on the first day of the following month in every private-sector establishment: “Any payment made after such date shall be deemed a delay in wage payment” (Ministerial Resolution No. 340 of 2026, Article 1(1)). The resolution does not move the due date when the 1st falls on a weekend or a public holiday.

Establishments registered with MOHRE pay through the Wage Protection System (WPS) (Article 1(2)). The salary is transferred through a bank, an exchange house or a financial institution authorised by the Central Bank of the UAE.

An establishment is deemed compliant when it transfers at least 85% of the total wages due to its workers by the due date (Article 2(1)). A worker who receives at least 85% of the wage, the difference being lawful deductions, is not treated as unpaid (Article 2(2)). Neither rule reduces what is owed: both apply “without prejudice to the workers’ right to their full entitled wages”.

When wages are late, MOHRE’s measures against the establishment follow a timeline (Annex 1): monitoring from the due date; alerts from the 2nd day; new work permits suspended on the 5th day; a fine and reclassification on the 11th day for a repeat within six months; on the 16th day, a labour dispute registered automatically for the unpaid workers at establishments with 25 or more workers; and on the 21st day, for the establishments the Annex lists, an executive instrument for the wages, attachment and a travel ban on the person in charge.

Some workers are outside WPS (Article 4), among them a worker whose wage claim has gone to court, a worker under an absconding report, a worker on approved unpaid leave and a worker on a mission work permit of up to 3 months.

How the Amount Is Checked

Contract wage = basic salary + allowances. The Labour Law defines the wage as the basic wage plus the cash allowances in the contract, and the basic wage as the wage without allowances (Article 1).

Unpaid days: no wage is due for approved unpaid leave (Article 33(1)) or for absence without a valid reason (Article 34). One day’s wage is the monthly wage ÷ 30, because the law counts a month as 30 days (Article 67).

Expected = contract wage − unpaid days × one day’s wage − the deductions you enter. Gap = expected − what arrived. A positive gap is money missing that the unpaid days and the deductions do not explain.

Each deduction is checked against Article 25: the closed list of what may be deducted, the limit of each case, and the 50% cap on all deductions together (Article 25(2)). Recruitment and visa costs may not be charged to the worker at all (Article 6(4)). These are the rules of the deductions check on this site.

What the Check Does Not Know

Mainland private sector only. The DIFC and ADGM free zones have their own employment laws; government employees and domestic workers are outside Decree-Law No. 33 (Article 3(2)).

It does not see your contract, payslip, bank account or WPS record. Payslip.ae is not connected to MOHRE or to any bank and cannot look up anyone’s salary; the result follows the figures you type.

Overtime, bonuses, commission, sick-leave pay and a part month at the start or end of a job change what a month pays. The salary calculator works those out; this check takes the contract wage for a full month.

The timing check counts from the WPS due date. If your contract sets an earlier payday, the employer must keep to it too (Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022, Article 16(1)(a)).

The Annex 1 measures depend on facts about the whole establishment: how many workers it has, whether 85% of all its wages went out, a repeated violation. The check shows how far the timeline has run; it does not say which measures MOHRE has taken.

Worked Examples

Dates as DD/MM/YYYY, amounts in AED, with the checker’s results:

August 2026 salary, arrived on 3 September 2026

due 01/09/2026; 03/09/2026 − 01/09/2026 = 2 days

= late by 2 days; Annex 1 row 2 (alerts to the employer) from 03/09/2026

September 2026 salary, not paid by 12 October 2026

due 01/10/2026; 12/10/2026 − 01/10/2026 = 11 days

= late by 11 days and not paid; Annex 1 row 4 reached on 12/10/2026

Basic 3,000 + allowances 1,500, 2 unpaid days, 3,900 arrived

4,500 − 4,500 ÷ 30 × 2 (300) = 4,200 expected; 4,200 − 3,900 = 300

= short by AED 300.00

Basic 4,000 + allowances 2,000, visa cost 500 deducted, 5,500 arrived

6,000 − 500 = 5,500 expected = 5,500 arrived

= the amount matches the payslip, but the visa deduction conflicts with Article 6(4)

Basic 5,000, no allowances, 5,400 arrived

5,000 expected; 5,000 − 5,400 = −400

= AED 400.00 more than expected (overtime or a bonus?)

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I check my salary in the UAE?

Three places show it: your employment contract, of which the employer must hand you a copy (Article 8(1)); your signed job offer, whose validity MOHRE says can be checked through its website, its app or its call centre on 600590000; and the statement of the bank or exchange house that pays your salary through WPS. This page checks whether the salary is late and whether the amount matches your contract.

How do I check if my salary is late?

Wages for a month are due on the 1st of the next month (Ministerial Resolution No. 340 of 2026, Article 1(1)). If your August salary arrived after 1 September, it was late. Choose the month above and the date it arrived, and the check counts the days.

How can I check my basic salary in the UAE?

Your basic salary is written in your employment contract and in the job offer you signed: it is the wage without allowances (Article 1 of Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021). The end-of-service gratuity is calculated on it (Article 51).

How can I check my salary slip online?

A payslip comes from your employer. The Labour Law does not require a document by that name, but the employer must prove wage payment when MOHRE asks (Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022, Article 16(1)(c)). Ask your employer for the month’s breakdown and compare it with your contract here.

Can Payslip.ae check my salary by my name or Emirates ID?

No. Payslip.ae is not connected to MOHRE, WPS or any bank and cannot look up anyone’s salary. It checks the figures you type, in your browser.

What can I do if my salary is not paid?

Ask your employer in writing first and keep a copy. Then file a complaint with MOHRE through the “Register Labour Complaints - Private Sector Employees” service on its website or app, or call 600590000. MOHRE’s guide for workers says you can complain within 30 days of the employer’s breach. The labour complaint page on this site helps you put the facts in order.

Can my employer pay only part of my salary?

Only lawful deductions may be taken from the wage, each within its own limit and all of them together within 50% of the wage (Article 25). WPS does not treat a worker who received at least 85% of the wage, the difference being lawful deductions, as unpaid (Ministerial Resolution No. 340 of 2026, Article 2(2)), but the worker can still claim the rest.
