Request for Payment of Outstanding Dues

Article 22(2) of Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 requires the employer to pay wages on their due dates, and Article 1(1) of Ministerial Resolution No. 340 of 2026 sets the first day of each Gregorian month as the due date for the wages of the preceding month.

This tool writes the letter an employee sends to the employer to ask for unpaid wages or end-of-service dues. You list each amount with what it is for and the period it covers; the letter adds the total, subtracts anything already paid, asks for payment by a date you choose, and states that you may file a complaint with MOHRE if it is not paid. When wages are due

Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, Article 22(2): “The employer shall pay the salaries or wages to its workers on their due dates in accordance with the regulations approved in the Ministry”. Ministerial Resolution No. 340 of 2026, Article 1(1): “The first day of each Gregorian month shall be designated as the unified due date for the payment of workers’ wages in private sector establishments for the preceding Gregorian month.”

When the contract ends, Article 53 gives the employer 14 days: it “shall pay to the worker, within (14) fourteen days from the end date of the contract term, his wages and all his other entitlements”. If your employment has ended, the letter cites this article, and the page notes when the payment date you choose falls before those 14 days have passed.

If the amount is not paid

Article 54(1): employers and employees “are entitled to dispute any rights arising from the employment relationship. Following receipt of the request, the Ministry will review it and take the necessary steps to facilitate an amicable resolution.” The letter says that you may file a complaint with MOHRE; it does not threaten anything else.
